Road Trip

Last night I dreamt about the ride home from training. My training partner tamika was driving me home from the session and I fell asleep on the way home. When I woke up, we were at her work, A kennel for cats and dogs. She took me inside and showed me the cattery and I just remember thinking how badly it smelt! When we got back in the car, I was puzzled as to why she didn't wake me up as we drove past my house to let me off, instead she drove all the way to Samford, and was planning on dropping me home again. As we drove down an unfamiliar dirt road I began to panic, thinking randomly that she was going to kill me! As I expected, she threw me out of the car, down a deep ditch. She then threw a water bottle at me, remarking that I would need it! As she started back to her car, I started screaming at her "REMEMBER MY NAME!! REMEMBER THAT YOU MURDERED ME, LISA!!!!" (I dont know why her name was Lisa now).
Somehow, I flew out of the ditch and launched myself at her windscreen, shattering it and sending glass flying everywhere. Both of us were cut and bleeding really badly, and then we proceeded to laugh and have a giggle about how we would get all of the blood out of the apolstery.
All of a sudden, we were on a road-trip. Some strange lady was driving and Cait and Taylor were in the back seat. It was pitch black and the roads were really long and windy and dimly lit. I asked this lady if she knew where we were going (as we were driving from the Sunshine coast back to Brisbane) and she remarked that she didn't really know. I suggested that we pull over, and I would drive, using my GPS. When we pulled over, we found ourselves in a really old and out of the times country town. When I asked a lady walking her dog where we were, she replied "Cairns". Again I woke up crying, hysterical that we had driven all of this way in my car!

Spinal Victim

On wedensday night I dreamt I was having a party at my place. Triple J's 'The Doctor' was waiting on my driveway for Lilly Allen to pick us up. We were playing with a mangy dog that was hanging around my front garden and were joking about Lilly Allen making 'The Doctor' "scream" in the bedroom (in reference to her song 'Not Fair').
As we left (and I was suddenly driving the car), my friend Holly crashed into my car quite forcefully. The crash threw me from my car to the road. She ran, crying hysterically to my side. I thought she was upset about hitting me and my state, but I think she was crying over her broken finger. Apart from that, she was scratch free. I wasn't sure why I couldn't react to her crying, but came to the realisation that I had broken my spine when the Ambulance arrived and put me on a spinal board. I was completely paralizyed. I couldn't move, speak or react to anything anyone was saying to me, it was so scarily real! The new way for the paramedics to transport a spinal victim to the hospital was via waterslide. Apparantly this minimized the risk of further injuries, so they hooked up a kiddies play tunnel to their tow bar and all of a sudden, I was being transported to hospital on a flume ride at a water park. I was petrified that I couldn't move a finger or control my breathing whilst in this waterslide tunnel. When we arrived at the hospital, I was shot out of the slide into the pool on my board and woke up sobbing.

Rollercoaster

Sarah and I were waiting in line to ride a rollercoaster. Instead of sitting next to eachother, we decided to sit one behind eachother. Sarah was in the front seat, riding next to David Schwimmer and I right behind her.
Shortly after the ride commenced, David stabbed sarah in the wrist with a knife, leaving her to scream and bleed out throughout the ride. No matter how much I screamed and cried for them to stop the ride, I guess my cries were muffled and misconstrued as an adrenelin scared passenger. I remember ducking and dodging Sarah's blood, as it poured and splashed against other passengers throughout the twists and turns of the ride.
I cried and cried at her funeral - she was my best friend and without her, I had nothing. Her remembrance book was thanking all friends and family that attended, on behalf of the Amberger's and the Bombells. This is one of the worst dreams I have ever had and woke up sobbing.

Flight Facilities

There has been a lot of press about the three Qantas planes experiencing engine difficulty and it was obviously playing on my mind as I went to sleep last night.

I dreamt my team and I were on a plane on our way to the Olympics. I experienced the whole boarding, customs, immigration procedures also. It was a small plane, only 4 seats across the aisle, so Sarah and I were sitting in a two and Anna and Marina were the other two seats in our aisle. Just after take-off, our engine exploded and I felt every jolt and spiral as our plane crashed to the ground. My stomach dropped, just as it does on a full throttle theme park ride and it was so scarily real. Sarah and I were holding hands and crying together, as I told her that I loved her...

Fisticuffs

We were at the house of our family friends. The youngest son Matthew and I were sharing a bedroom and the oldest son, Nick and my youngest cousin, Georgia, were sharing another bedroom. We were informed by their mother that Matthew had been beaten up on his way home from school the previous day.
As he was sleeping, he was constantly raising his fists above his head, as a defensive mechanism, and was reaching for a cup of water that wasn't there. I heard his mother say "From the moment I saw him put his fists up, I knew he was a Gay Boy!"
I went to get him a glass of water and had to walk through Georgia and Nick's room to get to the kitchen. I walked by Georgia's bed and she explained to me that Matt had told a boy at his school that he had feelings for him and the boy retaliated and bashed him.

Steve the Fish

Elevators seem to be a reoccurring theme in many of my dreams. I was in a hotel with some friends from uni and needed to catch the lift to the 22nd floor, to return 'Steve the Fish' to his tank. Steve was just floating around me, as if immersed in water, although he was struggling to swim into the lift. I was yelling "Steve! Get in the lift, quick!" as paramedics hurriedly wheeled two people in stretchers into the lift. Passengers were laughing at Steve's unconventional name and he was pushed out of the elevator. We proceeded a very shaky and tumultuous ride down to the 22nd floor. When I got out the lift, I found steve hovering around another fish tank. The lift sounded, so I quickly jumped back in (for some unknown reason) just to have another life threatening ride, again to the 22nd floor. Confused when the doors opened, I did not see Steve's tank, but a business centre, where the manager quickly ushered me to the computer suite explaining from the moment he opened the door, I'd have ten minutes to check my hotmail. This dream seemed to go on forever, I was constantly catching lifts trying to find Steve although I don't think I ever saw him again.

Gain

The next night I gained a family member! I dreamt that my brother Josh was planning on proposing to his girlfriend, J, but wanted me to do the spiel. He had set the ring box up upon his record player and called J into the room where I was waiting. I proceeded to tell her how much she meant to the family and how she was always there in time of crisis etc and all the while, she was playing with objects around her, seemingly not listening to the heartfelt speech I was pouring out! She shoved a box of cigars in my face, the way a 2 year old does with a new toy they want to make sure you know they discovered. I yelled at her to listen and quickly opened the ring box with the words "Will you marry.... this guy" and in walked Josh. No emotion on either one of their faces, they gave each other a quick peck on the lips and that was that...
