Gain
The next night I gained a family member! I dreamt that my brother Josh was planning on proposing to his girlfriend, J, but wanted me to do the spiel. He had set the ring box up upon his record player and called J into the room where I was waiting. I proceeded to tell her how much she meant to the family and how she was always there in time of crisis etc and all the while, she was playing with objects around her, seemingly not listening to the heartfelt speech I was pouring out! She shoved a box of cigars in my face, the way a 2 year old does with a new toy they want to make sure you know they discovered. I yelled at her to listen and quickly opened the ring box with the words "Will you marry.... this guy" and in walked Josh. No emotion on either one of their faces, they gave each other a quick peck on the lips and that was that...
Loss
I have a friend who is dying of cancer. A few nights back, I dreamt I was at the hospital with her, however the hospital was an aircraft, and her room was a tiny aeroplane bathroom. She was stashing left over knives and forks in her room and was worried about getting caught. She knew she was dying, but it was the norm for all cancer patients to have a 'time' in which they died, instead of waiting it out. The PA system chimed that it was her time, and myself and Byron(?) took her to her final waiting room. The waiting room was set out like a wedding chapel. Guests who came to farewell her sat on one side, while guests for the other cancer patient sat on the opposite side. The twist in this tale, is my uncle Tony was the cancer patient on the other side. I have never seen him so deterioated. I never even knew he was sick, but there he was, crippled in the pew, waiting to be called to his coffin at the front of the chapel. I cried and cried many tears as my two friends walked down the aisle to die in their coffins, while the guests on each side weeped and wailed for them to come back...
